Lightweight „Obermayer“

The Lightweight „Obermayer“ is the most lightweight top of the range wheel of our well kown multi-spoke wheels. We use extra light DT Swiss hubs in the rear and our self constructed Lightweight hubs. The decisive role in producing this extra light wheels plays the kind of our extra light sandwich structure in the rims itself. The Lightweight “Obermayer” technological comes directly from the famous Lightweight “L´Alpe d´Huez” model what was developed on behalf of one of the leading pro tour teams for special use in the uphill time trial race during the Tour de France 2004. Many of the innovations that have been developed out of this team work have found their way into the current “Obermayer” model. The result is an extremely lightweight competition wheel with nearly unbeatable stiffness. The stiffness of the “Obermayer” wheels is the same as you can find at our Standard wheels and takes a leading position among all the lightweight wheelsets in the world.

Lightweight Standard III

Our „Standard“ wheel with all the current Lightweight technology – less weight and more stiffness for every roadie! These carbon spokes wheels are available in 28” size. The front wheel can be ordered with 12, 16 or 20 spokes. The rear wheel is available with 20 or 24 spokes (for the real sprinting guys). The combination with 20/24-spokes was developed with Erik Zabel, one of the most successful sprinters ever – you can´t beat it! Hubwise you have the choice between Shimano 9/10-speed, Campy 9/10/11-speed or SRAM 10-speed.

Lightweight Standard III C – Lightweight goes Clincher

Our Lightweight Standard C model is an advancement of our “Standard” wheels. This is the first Lightweight wheel that is specially made for the use of clincher-tires. For optimal performance we did a totally redesign-job at the rim. The Lightweight Standard C command the the same technological innovation level as all our Generation III wheels. The new full carbon fiber spokes and the direct linkage between spokes, rim and hub is taken from our Standard and Obermayer wheels. The rim itself is a totally new development especially for clincher use. It has to have the same stiffness like the rims in all our Lightweight wheels and rim flange has to last to extremely high physical requirements.
